Anchorages

No official anchorages in this area, although it is possible to anchor anywhere along the Whangaparaoa peninsula.  These are not all-weather anchorages through, and there are no dingy landings as most of the peninsula is high cliffs and private property.

Yacht Services

Chandleries -  Burnsco Marine at Gulf Harbour

Yacht MaintenanceGulf Harbour   (You should be careful of the workmanship of some of the maintenance workers.  We had an unhappy experience with Gloss Boats, but other people felt that they did good work.)

Rigging Services - Gulf Harbour.  This shop is part of Southern Spars.  We had the main mast pulled, two internal halyards installed and the rig tuned by their rigger: we were very happy with both his work and professionalism.

Engine Repair - Seaquip engine repair shop at Gulf Harbour.  We were very pleased with their work.

Sailmakers and Canvas Shops - Canvas shop at marina which we believe will also do sail repair.  All of the major sailmakers are located in the Auckland - Westhaven complex.  (See Auckland information)

Chain Galvanizing - See Auckland Yacht Services

Re-chroming Services -  See Auckland Yacht Services

Charts/Marine Books -  A few books and charts at Burnsco Marine.  (For more see Auckland information).
