Lawrie's Marina - Located on the South side of the river and down a canal.  This is an older marina and mainly used by cruisers who need work done on their boat as there is a large yacht maintenance yard.

Advantages

  • Yacht Maintenance yard

  • Close to all cruising amenities as it is next to the Kawana Shopping Centre.

  • Less expensive than Mooloolaba Yacht Club

Disadvantages

  • Older marina

  • Very far from Mooloolaba Beach and Esplanade as it is across the river and you must travel about 5-10 kilometers to get to the Esplanade.  There is bus which you can take and some of the "Clubs"  will send a mini-bus to pick you up if you plan to have lunch or dinner at the club.

Other Marinas in the Area -

Wharf Marina - Located up the harbor past the Mooloolaba Yacht Club.  This marina is rather small, but it is located right next to the Hog's Breath Cafe and several other Cafes and Pubs.  This could be either an advantage or disadvantage depending on what you like.  It will be rather noisy though.
